PRINCE OF WALES Discusses OSBOURNE Theft
December 16, 2004BBC News is reporgiting that The Prince of Wales asked Sharon Osbourne about her £2m burglary and the health of her husband Ozzy after Tuesday's Royal Variety Performance.
Prince Charles talked to Osbourne backstage at the London Coliseum show, after she replaced her husband who was recovering from a shoulder operation.
Osbourne made a pre-recorded "Crimewatch" TV appeal for information on the burglary from her Buckinghamshire home.
The BBC One program received 31 calls about the November burglary.
The Osbournes have offered a £100,000 reward for information leading to a conviction for the theft of their "totally irreplaceable" jewelry.
Ozzy Osbourne damaged a metal plate inserted in his arm as he confronted the intruder, requiring him to have surgery on Tuesday.
Following the Royal Variety Show, which also featured musicians Sir Elton John and Liza Minnelli, Prince Charles asked Sharon Osbourne: "How's Ozzy?" and told her: "I heard about your burglary."
She replied: "It was awful, but thankfully Ozzy is OK."
